Governor Ortom of Benue State, Has Condemns the herdsmen attack in Agatu on Wednesday
Governor Samuel Ortom has condemned the herdsmen to attack the people of Agatu Local Government Area of Benue State.
According to the reporter, the Governor described the attack as unfortunate and capable of disorganizing residents so that they do not participate in this Saturday's polls.

He stated that the attack had further given credence to allegations that some selfish politicians were mobilizing herders to destabilize the State for political gains, saying such was regrettable.
The Governor who had raised alarm about grand plans by some politicians to cause the crisis and to go ahead to make some pronouncements concerning the election in the state said If that is really the aim of the attack, then it is unfortunate and unthinkable.
Suspected herdsmen at about four am Wednesday killed seventeen persons and injured twelve others at Ebete in Agatu local government area of Benue State.
Some of the victims who survived the attack said the suspected heders crossed from Nasarawa State into the Agatu side of Benue to carry out the inhuman act.
According to the victims, the attack was unprovoked.
Meanwhile, the commissioner of police Benue police command, Mr. Omololu Bishi declined comments on the matter when newsmen went to his office.
